Vision
To create a digitally empowered generation in marginalized communities, equipped to learn, innovate, and thrive in the digital economy.

Sarati Digital Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education, digital inclusion, and community empowerment in underserved and marginalized communities. Founded on the belief that access to knowledge and technology can transform lives, we work to bridge gaps in educational opportunities and equip young people with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Our work focuses on creating equitable access to digital literacy, ICT resources, mentorship, and educational support, particularly for students, girls, young women, and vulnerable groups who face barriers to opportunity. Through partnerships with schools, community leaders, government institutions, and development partners, we establish and support learning environments that foster innovation, confidence, and lifelong learning.
We recognize that technology is more than a tool; it is a gateway to information, economic opportunity, and social inclusion. By providing access to digital devices, training educators, establishing ICT hubs, and promoting digital literacy programs, we empower students and communities to participate meaningfully in the modern economy and society.
Our vision is a future where every young person, regardless of location or background, has access to quality education, digital skills, and the opportunities needed to reach full potential. We are committed to building resilient communities, nurturing future leaders, and creating lasting impact through education, innovation, and collaboration.
In an era defined by technology, access to digital education has become as fundamental as access to reading and writing. Yet for hundreds of thousands of children in marginalized communities across Kenya this access remains entirely out of reach. Schools in rural and low-income urban areas operate without computers, without reliable electricity, and without teachers equipped to deliver digital instruction.
With the role out of CBC, the new education system in Kenya, there is ICT requirements that the schools need to adhere to but do not have the required facilities. The scale of this problem is deeply concerning and represents real children whose futures are being quietly foreclosed.
Without deliberate and targeted intervention, this crisis will only accelerate. As industries digitize and services move online, the gap between the digitally equipped and the digitally excluded will continue to widen.
Establishing fully functional digital learning laboratories equipped with solar power, internet connectivity, laptops, training, and mentorship provides a sustainable solution that empowers learners, strengthens teaching capacity, and creates pathways to greater educational and economic opportunities.
